If you contact me using the contact form on this website, I collect the information you choose to provide, including:

I use this information only to respond to your message and keep a record of our correspondence. I retain contact form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary, unless deletion is requested. You may request deletion at any time. The contact form is powered by Squarespace, my website hosting provider. I provide the information you submit in the contact form to Squarespace so it can power the contact form, deliver your message to me, and help me manage this website. I also use Google Workspace to receive, store, and respond to these communications.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to my newsletter using the signup form on this website, I collect the email address you provide. I keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to my newsletter. You can refuse to supply personal information, but that will exclude you from certain related activities such as receiving newsletters and free offers. My newsletter is managed through MailerLite. I provide the information you submit through the signup form to MailerLite so it can manage subscriptions, send newsletters on my behalf, and deliver subscriber benefits, such as my free downloadable short story. As part of providing its newsletter services, MailerLite may also process information related to your subscription and newsletter email activity, including:
your IP address at signup
subscription date and time
unsubscribe date and time
opt-in confirmation IP address, date, and time
location and last detected timezone
unsubscribe activity
email delivery information, including successful deliveries and hard or soft bounces;

campaign and automation statistics, such as the number of subscribers who start, complete, or are currently in an automated workflow;

manage my subscriber list;
promote my books and writing-related projects;
understand my audience and how readers interact with my emails;
measure newsletter performance; and
improve future newsletters and subscriber communications.
MailerLite may use cookies or similar technologies to operate forms and track basic performance. My newsletter uses double opt-in. After submitting the signup form, you must confirm your subscription by clicking the confirmation link sent to your email address before you are added to my mailing list and receive the free short story. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email.
